Three product launches landed within days of each other this week. One promises to find hundreds of millions in hidden revenue. Another takes over your entire customer service operation overnight. A third embeds an AI analyst directly into $9 trillion worth of investment workflows. The products are unrelated. The companies behind them are in completely different industries. But they all used the same word to describe what they built.

Colleague.

They didn't call it a tool, an assistant, or a copilot. They called it a colleague. That word carries real weight. It implies ownership, accountability, and an unanswered question: where does the human stop and the machine begin?

What Happened This Week

On March 3 and 4, 2026, three companies launched products that collectively make the case for a new category of enterprise software: the autonomous agent that owns a workflow end-to-end, rather than helping a human own it.

Cien Agentic is positioned as a "Digital Colleague" for revenue operations teams. Built on top of Cien.ai's GTM intelligence platform, it doesn't just surface insights from CRM data. It audits that data automatically, builds board-ready growth plans, and monitors performance in real time with proactive alerts. Cien CEO Robert Käll: "Modern revenue executives are drowning in dashboards but starving for answers." Across deployments, Cien Agentic has reportedly identified more than $2.1 billion in revenue opportunities. In one case, a global SaaS company used the platform to surface $180 million in previously overlooked expansion opportunities within its first 30 days of deployment, without manual audits or custom consulting projects.

Addepar's Addison is a native AI experience built into one of wealth management's most widely used data platforms. Addepar serves more than 1,400 firms across nearly 60 countries, managing close to $9 trillion in assets. Addison allows investment professionals to query that data in natural language, asking about performance drivers, exposures, and liquidity, and get traceable, permission-aware answers grounded in real portfolio context. The company's CTO Bob Pisani's framing: "AI only becomes transformational when it's trusted enough to sit at the center of how firms operate." That's a higher bar than most vendors set for themselves. 14.ai is the most aggressive of the three.
